This traditional folk’s music from the Alps is still popular today. Many pieces arose during the winter months, in which the people had the wish, after a long day’s work, to relax in the evenings with music. All of these compositions are accompanied by plucked string instruments – love songs as well as happy yodelling songs, and Christmas songs. On this CD musicians and singers of the Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends perform 25 little compositions.
