The music is characterized by the remarkable themes associated with the two main characters, Beatus Klingohr, a virtuoso violinist, and the mysterious miracle apostle. Both themes occur throughout the whole work, one of them lyrical, almost melancholy, the other dynamic and noble. A wonderful composition which, in its own special way, retells the story of the vagabond Beatus, who through the miracle apostle finds long-lost values again: joy in living, happiness and health.
